Hi, Iβm Kate β the founder of In Balance HR. With over 10 years of experience in HR and as a proud Accredited Professional Member of HRNZ, I feel privileged to help businesses navigate the intricacies of managing and supporting their teams.
I founded In Balance HR to make professional HR advice and support accessible to businesses, especially those that donβt need or have the resource for a full-time, in-house HR Manager. My goal is to find the best outcomes for both business owners and their teams.
Originally from Australia, I came to New Zealand to study, and while the allure of warmer weather still calls to me, Iβm happily settled in Dunedin. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, baby girl, and my beautiful white German shepherd, Yuki.
My approach to HR is all about balance β meeting the needs of the business while never losing sight of the people. When faced with an HR dilemma, I ask myself βwhat is the decent thing to do?β With this as my guide, I know weβre on the right path.
